How to Program an Mhouse / MyHouse TX4, TX3, GTX4 Compatible Gate Remote

Pair a compatible Mhouse / MyHouse TX4, TX3 or GTX4 remote: open the motor cover, hold P1 until the red light comes on, then hold a remote button twice until the light flashes.

Time required 10 min
Difficulty Easy
Tools needed
  • The new compatible remote with its battery fitted
  • Screwdriver to remove the screw on the side of the motor cover
Before you start Make sure nobody is standing under or near the door while you program and test. Do this within a few metres of the motor so you can test straight away. Keep the remote and its battery away from children; if a coin or button cell is swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. If you need to open the motor housing, switch the power off first and only remove the cover the manual refers to. If you are not confident working near the motor, ask a garage door technician.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the motor cover

Undo the screw on the side of the Mhouse motor and carefully slide the cover up to expose the control buttons.

  2. Hold P1 for 3 seconds

Press and hold button P1, the first button at the top, for about 3 seconds until the red light on the motor comes on.

  3. Hold a button on the new remote

Within 10 seconds, press and hold any button on the new remote for about 2 seconds until the red light on the motor flashes.

  4. Confirm with the same button

Within 10 seconds, press and hold the same remote button again for about 2 seconds until the red light flashes a second time.

  5. Finish and test

When you have finished coding all remotes, the red light goes out. Press the remote to test, then slide the cover back down and refit the screw.

Frequently asked questions

I do not have my original remote. Can I still program this one?
Yes. This remote pairs directly with the Mhouse motor or receiver using the learn button, so an original remote is not required.
Which button opens the gate and which is for pedestrians?
Depending on the motor's settings, the first remote button typically opens, stops and closes the gate, while the second button opens it partly for pedestrian access.
The red light went out before I pressed the remote.
You have about 10 seconds between steps. Hold P1 again for 3 seconds and press the remote as soon as the light comes on.
Can I program more than one remote in the same session?
Yes. While the red light is on, repeat steps 3 and 4 for each remote. The light goes out when the motor leaves learn mode.
Does the remote come with a battery?
Yes, a battery is pre-installed. If the LED on the remote does not light when you press a button, replace the battery before troubleshooting the programming.
